Disturbing Recording Reveals Moment Officers Suffer Blade Attacks in Unexpected Assault

The Two Sergeants Instants Prior to the Attacker Was Tasered

One senior officer who rushed to the aid of a fellow officer that got attacked by a knife attacker has been awarded the Monarch's Honor for Bravery.

Sgt Tim Ansell struggled against twenty-seven-year-old Jacob Brown subsequent to he placed a weapon to the neck of his colleague Sergeant Marc Foster.

Brown began the violence as the law enforcement personnel and their third officer, Police Constable Marcus Wolstencroft, were conversing to a driver after a traffic accident in that location in mid-2023.

Brown knifed and cut the two Sergeant Ansell and Sergeant Foster before Police Constable Wolstencroft stopped him with a Taser.

"Policeman knifed," PC Wolstencroft was heard to say over his radio.

Bodyworn and vehicle camera video shared by the force depicted Brown, wearing in dark clothing with a hood up, run up to Sergeant Foster from behind with a knife outstretched.

He struck the policeman who stumbled and went down to the pavement, before Sgt Ansell stepped in and struggled to restrain him to the pavement despite being multiple times hit with the knife.

Police Constable Wolstencroft Incapacitated the Assailant, Jacob Brown, with a Taser

Police Constable Wolstencroft drew his Taser and awaited a safe opportunity, bringing the confrontation to an conclusion.

Sergeant Ansell stated audibly: "Please provide something on my neck now, I got knifed in the neck."

Sergeant Ansell suffered multiple deep cuts to his throat and additional injuries to his arms and torso, whereas Sgt Foster received slash wounds.

The department stated Sgt Foster used his bare hands to control his partner's hemorrhaging before medical personnel came.

This most recent award arrives subsequent to the trio of policemen received organizational Bravery Awards in fall 2023 and the prestigious bravery honor from the local Police Federation in early 2024.

They additionally received a Area Valor Recognition in July 2024.

"The efforts of the entire team ultimately rescued one another and ensured no bystanders endured any injuries."

Brown was given to an indefinite hospital order in April 2024, as stated by the department.
