Explore 29 Latest Cards from Magic: The Gathering's TMNT Set (Including a Commander Deck!)
The world's favorite pizza-loving heroes are coming to the popular trading card game. The well-known TCG's publisher, Wizards of the Coast, announced a much-awaited Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collaboration during a special event hosted at NYCC. Could this be a exciting addition or simply another Universes Beyond marketing move? Let you be the judge.
Check out here at everything revealed from the Magic x Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles set, including key background. Everything mentioned here launches on March 6, 2026, with one exception â a special Pizza Bundle drops a few weeks later on March 27th.
Magic x TMNT: Core Set Cards
Before diving into the many special decks and collections on offer, letâs take a look at all the cards from the main Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles expansion that were revealed by Wizards. Standard booster packs for the set are priced at $6.99 per pack, while Collector Boosters are priced at $37.99 per pack.
Letâs explore a few shell-shocking features. First, a new gameplay mechanic named Sneak Attack, inspired by the already established Ninjutsu, where gamers can cheat powerful creatures into the battlefield when an attacker isnât blocked. The key change in this case is that Sneak can affect non-creature spells as well. Wizards also used this chance to clean up the mechanic a bit (Sneak is treated as playing a spell, as opposed to Ninjutsu). The original ability isn't going away, but chances are players will encounter Sneak in upcoming expansions moving forward.
âIf we ever were to return to the Kamigawa plane, we might use Ninjutsu because that's where it originated and itâs a hallmark to that,â a senior game designer explained. âBut in other settings, because the mechanics are smoother and the new ability will be in standard, itâs probable weâll use Sneak.â
Another version of the leader Turtle, Sewer Samurai card, is one of four special cards with unique artwork designed specifically for the set by Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles original artist the co-creator.
Oh, and, if you're shocked by the card text on Turtles Forever card, which lets you play cards that aren't in your main deck, so was I. Yet according to Wizards, that's now a official card in every format of Magic.
Anyway, here are the extremely bizarre full-art lands from the TMNT set:
Following Wizards of the Coast's existing guidelines, these cards are all legal in Magicâs Standard play. The designers say they were careful to make sure the new cards and gameplay elements meshed well with current Standard expansions like Edge of Eternities.
âI led the design for 15 months and we knew it would be in standard and which sets would be alongside it in standard,â the designer commented. âWe designed to make sure that there's synergy with certain expansions like Edge of Eternities.â
As an instance, both TMNT and Edge of Eternities feature a Izzet strategy focused on artifacts.
âThey combine to provide the components for a fun Standard-legal deck,â he says.
Preconstructed Commander: Turtle Power!
Following a decision to design any pre-constructed Commander decks for Spider-Man and the forthcoming Avatar: The Last Airbender collaborations, Wizards is reversing course with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Itâs only a single precon, but it includes six different legendary cards that can serve as your commander depending on how you pair them (five cards have a special partner ability called âCharacter Selectâ that lets you start with two commanders in the command zone instead of just one). Take a look for yourself:
This Commander precon is priced at $69.99, though the price may rise based on demand. Sources indicated that it includes 43 brand-new cards in total, which means an additional thirty-seven TMNT-themed cards in addition to the six legendary commanders shown earlier. (Calculating roughly, that also means about 20 reprinted cards if we assume the deck comes with 37 land cards.)
How will the TMNT version of the iconic Sol Ring look like? Weâll just have to wait and see.
TMNT Bundle (Standard Edition)
Typically, Wizards is offering a bundle. It is priced at $69.99 and includes the following:
- Nine Standard Boosters
- 15 Foil land cards
- 15 Regular basic lands
- Two helper cards
- 1 Foil promotional card
- One Large spindown life counter

Pizza-Themed Bundle
Hereâs a special idea for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collaboration, mostly in that it comes in what looks like a pizza delivery box. Every Pizza Bundle costs $99.99 and comes with the following:
- Nine Standard Boosters
- One Collector Booster
- 25 Regular pizza-themed lands
- 5 Traditional foil pizza basic lands
- Two Foil pizza bundle promotional cards
- Two helper cards
- 1 Large spindown life counter
- 1 Card-storage box
If youâre wondering about the âPizza Bundle promo cardâ is, itâs essentially a reprinted older card featuring all-new TMNT art. Wizards showed an example for the popular Magic card Dark Ritual depicting master Splinter sprinkling black licorice pieces on a pizza slice. In total, there are six distinct pizza promos in total.
This special bundle launches a couple of weeks later than the main set on March 27, 2026.
Draft Night
This unique product is made for a four-player draft and is priced at $119.99. That will get you:
- Twelve Play Boosters (ideal for a group of four to draft)
- One Collector Booster (aka, the prize for coming in first)
- Ninety Non-foil basic lands (for building your deck)
- 10 Non-foil double-sided tokens
- One Draft insert (a single-page guide to drafting this expansion)
Cooperative Play Set
Finally, Wizards are introducing a new concept with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as part of its continued initiative to develop Magic game products specifically for beginners. In this case, the cooperative set is a special set of prebuilt decks that allow two players join forces to face a âBossâ deck that plays automatically.
The concept here that every Boss card gives unique powers to the creature cards contained in the Boss deck. Each Boss automatically casts one other card each turn, and youâll start off battling {one Boss|
